The focus of this program is to provide an alternative for individuals to live in an environment which supports their development and growth within a homelike atmosphere. For the most part, individuals are provided with a place to live, usually within a supportive family home, and provided the necessary supports to thrive within the setting and the community. The Supportive Roommate aspect provides the necessary developmental supports and growth in a less \u201cfamily-like\u201d setting and on more of a \u201cfriend or roommate\u201d basis.
