Is it ADHD or Autism? How about both! Exploring the similarities and differences around ADHD & Autism
Online | Online
The speaker will explore the links and differences between ADHD & Autism, common misdiagnoses, and what to do after you or a loved one is diagnosed. There will be much raw honesty, shared experiences, trauma exploration, ridiculous but effective strategies, and silliness because life is better with extra Neuro-spicy sauce. The speaker will also be discussing the Pi Method, a therapeutic model invented at her counselling centre (and taught around the world) that focuses on trauma healing for ADHDers & Autistics specifically.

Alina Kislenko
Alina Kislenko is a registered psychotherapist specializing in ADHD and Autism as well as an Asst. Adj. Clinical Professor in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioural Neuroscience at McMaster School of Medicine. In 2009, she founded The ADHD & Spectrum Centre in Guelph, Ontario when she was 22 due to her own recent diagnoses of ADHD & Autism and the severe lack of relevant services in the area. She now has the privilege of supervising the talented psychotherapists, social workers, and coaches of the centre while travelling internationally to do advocacy work towards increasing awareness around Neurodiversity and creating affordable access to supports. Alina sees the neurodiversity of ADHDers and Autistics as a huge strength and wouldn’t trade her own unique brain for the world. She seeks to help others with these conditions thrive through understanding their own stealthy superpowers and how to use them for best results.
Alina hosted The Strange Brains Talk Radio Show on CFRU 93.3FM for many years and was the in-house expert on The ADHD Spot TV Show. She also trains therapists from around the world seeking to specialize in ADHD and Autism. Alina received the most prestigious honour in Guelph, The Mayor’s Award, for building a thriving ADHD and Autism community and for her advocacy work in the field. She was also selected for the Community Hero and Woman of Distinction awards for related works. Alina is a proud Neurodivergent person and the creator of the biggest ADHD page on facebook, ADHDinterrupted.
