Creating Employment Opportunities for Autistic People
Accessing employment opportunities continues to be a challenge for many people in the autism community, but this video describes a successful approach in BC.
An employment training partnership between Employment Works, Vancouver International Airport (YVR), and the Pacific Autism Family Network uses ‘best practices’ to provide strengths-based support to develop job skills for neurodivergent trainees. Suggestions for starting similar programs in other parts of Canada are also included.
