Occupational Therapy @ One Kids Place

This is a service to help children-youth function at their best in the roles (e.g. occupations) that they perform during the day. It is provided by registered Occupational Therapists and Therapy Assistants that promotes self-care activities, productive roles and play and leisure activities. It can assist if you have concerns for your child in some of the following areas, Low muscle tone Weakness in upper body-arms-hands Fine motor delays including, colouring, drawing, cutting, printing Poor eye-hand coordination Poor play skills Difficulty focusing and paying attention Poor dressing-undressing skills Feeding difficulties Sensory differences Poor organizational skills Clumsy-awkward Occupational therapy Services include, Assessment, Treatment and Consultation to children, youth and their families Direct individual and group therapy sessions Interdisciplinary team work Consultation and training workshops for parents, caregivers, day care staff, teachers. Home programs so parents and caregivers can support goals in everyday environment
